Afternoon Activities - (Gaeilge / French)

In order to maximise learning and enjoyment potential, we have divided the timetable to allow for classroom based learning in the morning and recreational activities, through Irish and French, in the afternoon.

We have almost twenty years of experience in preparing second level students for their examinations, and during this time we have been able to identify the variety of career aspirations, hobbies and activities of our students. This knowledge has helped us to develop a programme of unique and exciting activities which are guaranteed to have something for everyone in the audience!

The Atlantic Challenge Sports & Adventure

If you are the outdoor adventure type, or a sports enthusiast, we have a programme of leisure pursuits that will keep your adrenaline pumping for the fortnight.

Our Galway base puts us in an ideal location for water-based activities. Our professional instructors will help you get to grips with windsurfing, lead you on a canoe trip of the Corrib, or teach you how to balance on a surfboard.

Land based activities include team sports like tag rugby, football, basketball and athletics.

Our Atlantic Challenge Instructors will set students optional challenges and goals for the fortnight. Those who are successful in these pursuits will be acknowledged at an awards ceremony.

Group Activities

Our Irish and French Language course is designed to actively encourage interaction between all course participants through a number of exciting group activities through Irish and French. All students of the Yeats College Irish and French Language courses will participate in the following group activities throughout the two week duration of their course:

Day trips to the Aran Islands
Sightseeing tours to local areas of interest
Group performances
